Which Hospital Will I Go To?
If you are a cardiac patient right now—receiving care at either hospital—there won't be any changes. For the immediate future, the hospitals will invest in the existing programs of greatest strength.
In general terms, Evergreen will continue to be the place for heart-disease management, rehabilitation, diagnostic evaluation, acute myocardial infarction (percutaneous coronary intervention, or PCI) treatment and education. Overlake will continue to provide electrophysiology, cardiovascular intervention (percutaneous coronary/peripheral intervention), research and open-heart surgery and valve repair/replacement surgery.
